Scam Notice

Last updated: 26 June 2026

English is the controlling legal version.

Scammers sometimes impersonate legitimate businesses, including Potato Mart. This notice explains how we genuinely contact customers and how to protect yourself.

Scammers may impersonate us

Criminals may pretend to be Potato Mart through fake emails, text messages, phone calls, websites, apps, or social media accounts to try to steal money or personal information. Potato Mart is not responsible for losses caused by scams carried out by third parties impersonating us.

How we genuinely contact you

Potato Mart will only contact you from our official email domain, our verified social media accounts, or our published phone number, and only about matters relating to your own account or order.

What we will never ask for

We will never ask you for your account password, a one-time passcode or SMS verification code, or your full card number, or ask for upfront payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer, by phone, SMS, email, or social media.

Common scam types

Watch out for fake websites or apps that copy our branding, phishing emails or texts asking you to click a link and enter your details, demands for payment by gift card, and fake job offers claiming to be from Potato Mart.

How to verify it's really us

If you are unsure whether a message is genuinely from Potato Mart, do not click any links or provide information. Instead, contact us directly using the details on our Contact page or the phone number and email published on our official website.

What to do if you suspect a scam

Stop responding to the message or call, do not click links or make any payment, and contact us so we can investigate and warn other customers if needed.

Reporting a scam

You can also report scams to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au and, if your personal information may have been compromised, seek support from IDCARE, Australia's national identity and cyber support service.
