Website accessibility

Standards

We aim to align the website with WCAG 2.2 Level AA for perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust access.

Keyboard access

Core shopping, account, checkout, menu, language, and support flows are intended to work with a keyboard.

Screen readers

Pages use semantic landmarks, headings, labels, alt text, and status messages so assistive technology can understand the interface.

Readable design

We design for adequate contrast, visible focus states, responsive layouts, and text that does not rely on colour alone.

Reduced motion

Motion is limited and should respect reduced-motion preferences where animation is used.

Forms and errors

Forms are designed with labels, clear validation messages, and recovery paths when information needs attention.

Images and media

Meaningful images should include useful alternative text, while decorative images should be ignored by assistive technology.

Responsive access

Layouts are tested for common mobile and desktop sizes so content remains readable without overlap.

Known limitations

  • Some product images are supplied by third parties and may not always include ideal descriptive text.
  • Older campaign media or external social platforms may not meet the same accessibility standard as the Potato Mart website.
  • If a payment or identity step is provided by a third-party service, its accessibility controls may differ from ours.
